Edge is where complex designs become manufacturable. Teams come to Edge when their project demands precision at the micron scale — features, tolerances, and assemblies that other manufacturers can't or won't take on.

 
Microfeature & Precision Molding 
 

Single-digit micron feature resolution in thermoplastics through both compression molding and injection molding, enabling geometries previously only achievable through more expensive manufacturing processes. All molding performed in an ISO 7 cleanroom environment.



Surface Treatments 
 

Plasma treatment, protein and polymer coatings, and custom coating solutions for microplates and laboratory disposables. Plasma treatments modify surface energy for hydrophilic or hydrophobic performance, while molecular coatings optimize binding and functionality for immunoassays, cell culture, diagnostics, and more.



Bonding & Assembly 
 

Five bonding technologies — thermal, solvent, adhesive, PSA tapes, and laser welding — with precise location bonding and low-deformation methods. Some teams also come to Edge exclusively for bonding, no molding required — assembling components into test-ready solutions.



Prototype-to-Production Pathway 
 

A phased process from design feasibility through prototyping, bonding/assembly, pilot, validation, and high-volume manufacturing transfer. Edge isn’t a prototype-only shop — there’s a defined, multi-stage pathway to scalable production.
